While some trees are high maintenance and can become more trouble than they’re worth, others are relatively easy to maintain and combine low maintenance enjoyability with beauty and stunning curb appeal.
Some of our favorites to beautify your front yard include:
Crape Myrtle (Lagerstroemia) - an excellent survivor of a tree that love hot and sunny climates and bloom in the summer after most other trees have lost their spring time appeal. Crape myrtles don’t need to be topped off and with light pruning and plenty of room to grow, they’ll flourish with beautiful, colorful blooms.
Eastern Red Cedar (Juniperus Virginiana) - grows 40-50 feet and isn’t too picky about soil types. This tree can easily be planted in nearly any climate and it likes to soak up the rays, so be sure to plant it in full sun. An evergreen tree, birds flock to it year round and it also makes a great windbreak and screen.
Colorado Blue Spruce (Picea pungens) - with the ability to thrive nearly anywhere it’s planted, the Colorado Blue Spruce is a gorgeous tree that provides you with privacy and beauty all year long. Birds love to nest in it’s lush full branches and it’s cones make a gorgeous autumn decoration indoors.
With so many gorgeous trees to choose from, these are but a few choices we’ve highlighted for you to consider for sprucing up your home’s curb appeal.
